All While We're Waiting events are facilitated by Larry & Janice Brown (on the left in the photo above) and by Jill & Brad Sullivan (on the right).
Larry & Janice's son, Adam, a Navy SEAL, was killed in action in Afghanistan on March 17, 2010, at the age of 36. A New York Times best-selling book has been written about Adam ... "Fearless: The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown" by Eric Blehm. Larry is an electrician and Janice is a homemaker. They have two other children, Shawn and Manda, and six grandchildren.
Brad & Jill's daughter, Hannah, died of cancer on February 26, 2009, at the age of 17. She battled her illness with grace and without fear, accepting it as "her storm" ... her opportunity to bring glory to God. Brad is a school administrator and Jill is a speech pathologist. They enjoy spending time with their daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Brad Bird. Jill blogs about grief-related topics at The Sullivan Four.
The Browns and the Sullivans are not professional grief counselors, just parents who understand what it's like to have a child in Heaven. Please do not view attendance at a While We're Waiting event as a substitute for professional counseling.
"But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance." Romans 8:25
